way to go apple…..great exchange rate!June 22, 2006 at 2:50 pm #213502AlesisParticipantI think you are wring I bet that 90% of Shake users will switch to the new application. I bet it will 100% compatoble with shake a retain the best shake features… and I bet it will still cost U$499…
There is more according to macrumors the neww app will be built on the Motion engine while retaining Shake functionality.
Quote:The upcoming high-end compositing replacement software is codenamed Phenomenon and will reportedly be based on the current Motion code, but will build off users existing Shake experience and knowledge. The most unusual aspect of this cross-over is that the new software is not expected until 2008.June 26, 2006 at 6:03 am #213511AnonymousInactivehaz wrote:i really dont know why everyone is saying bye bye shake.. because most of the post production houses are using shake for all their work, i think it will be a while before studios ditch shake as most of them have their pipelines based around shake anyways…Cheers

In January this year we had a major feature to do the comping on. At the time we were using Shake, however, decided to move our pipeline to Nuke. Apple’s support was not upto it. It took us about a month to get Nuke into our pipeline and our artists comfortable. I have to say that Nuke really is quite an amazing piece of software and that the support we got from Domain was encouraging. I would like to see more people making the move.
