Exactly. I’ve been lusting after Shake for a while now and the demo put the nail in AE’s coffin for me. They neglected it forever while porting to Windows, and now they’re demoing a program that has a new interface with, apparently, no new functionality.
Of course, the demo is at a Flash event, so perhaps there is some kind of node-based fancy effects kind of stuff in there that a motion-graphics-only person might not use.

Is true, the flash comunity probably not interested in this feature, but the interface is seemed, where it would be the space for other windows (multiple views, node view)? The Adobe not also doesn´t liberate information, then it is hard to conclude some thing.

and the flash export ability, not that it was a big deal since I can do it with qt7I personally think that with adobe having the holly grail of painting: photoshop that ae has that paint system is a shame
I think adobe and apple should sign a joint venture and join motion and ae into 1

i am a compositor and worked for one and half years on after effects. i used it for film compositing and special effects for television… and believe me i was in love with it. coz it is too handy, easy to operate and work for particles and motion graphics. i hated moving on to shake. i used to hate it from the bottom of my heart. but i moved on. and now i am working on shake from past one year. and believe it’s best for film. all features are just fantastic. keying, roto, wire removal and other things. there is another software which comes for Mac OSX that is APPLE LIVE TYPE, which is for motion graphics. you can use that… and let me tell you one thing moving on to shake from AE is really difficult but when u start using shake you will fall in love with it..
thanks
