Nuke is the most difficult app to get used to in my opinion because it’s sooo geared towards being used in a complete production pipeline as opposed to mere camcorder/desktop setups like me.Do you have any plans to make some intro tutorials?

well I think the Gnomon DVDs will give you the best start for working with nuke. Maybe I’ll write a tutorial where I compare nuke with shake workflow. But for absolute beginners I recommend throb’s DVDs, they are great!!September 4, 2007 at 1:12 pm #216038tscholtonParticipant@Angus1988 23887 wrote:

There is a Nuke 101 class in the current term at fxphd.com. Also enrolling in the course allows you to use a VPN version of the software while the term is on.

Nice little tut. I have found the reconcile 2d node really useful in shots with tracked 3d cameras.
DISCLAIMER: I also work with fxphd as a Shake instructor.
Not to turn the thread into a total ‘FXPHD is great’ ad but if you are interested in some more extended tutorial material then have a look NUK101 at fxphd. This course is being taught by Sean Deveraux, a very experienced compositor with some awesome experience, and is aimed at folks wishing to get the heads around Nuke. As Jeff mentioned there is also a VPN of the latest build of Nuke available so folks can work along on their own machines. I have the Nuke DVD and am taking this course and really learning a lot from it.
