So… What do we know or think Toxik is??
Any takers??
[addsig]Toxik is the next generation product from discreet, which was shown in a “technology demo” form at the users group meeting on Sunday evening.
It is definitely real — I simply need to take time to file some reports here…
Toxik: Now officially known as Codename Strata & Mezzo.
From what I gleaned “Mezzo” is the low level portion of the duo that keeps track of all your media and “Strata” is where you modifiy your media either editing or compositing. The NAB demo was cool, including the crashes and subsequent return to working without having lost more than 1 second worth of work. It kinda looked like a mixture of Discreet’s Advanced Systems + Combustion + more. I’m guessing that it will be in the $200K region for a fully blown SD, HD, 4K resolution, but that’s just a guess.

From what I’ve seen of 5Ds Cyborg – this is already in there, only it never seems to crash.
