Try the old school way:
Use a clean frame as a ref making a new layer and placing it over your footage.
Make it smaller so u can see the footage you are working on(somekind of compare tool).
Then use all the color correct operator u need until u don’t get the result u want.

as for doing it manually of course this was a solution in the past. it goes without saying and it’s the first solution one would think.
but that is also exactly what i’m trying to avoid. 🙂
