Right now we are recruiting 2 system operators for a client in Stockholm
Our client is on one of Scandinavia’s leading postâ€production facilities. They offer an extensive range of professional post production services within the genres of feature film, drama, documentaries, commercials and music promos.Responsibilities
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role is responsible for identifying and investigating new and appropriate technologies in both an IT & traditional post production environment, to meet client’s growth and operating requirements.
Lead the effort to evaluate current systems and processes and propose strategic options and solutions for
improvements. Significant attention must be focused on infrastructure for future expansion and maximizing resources in order to meet client demands.
Includes attending conferences and visits to vendor sites, as well as other post facilities
Maintains, and where absent creates, architectural and operational documentation for all systems, application and infrastructure.
Investigate, analyze, document, and resolve hardware and software problems on a wide range of servers and hardwareEducation, Experience and Skills
• Deep understanding of film, video and animation postâ€production and computer graphics techniques
as well as IT environment.
• Knowledge and Experience of Realâ€time collaborative workflow, complex and distributed
environments with HD, 2K and 4K formats
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree.
• Proven knowledge of and experience with Windows, MacOS and UNIX/Linux operating systems and related network infrastructure.
• Professional experience of programming (i.e. C/C++) and scripting language experience (i.e. Python,Perl)
• Inâ€depth knowledge and experience of different storage technologies (i.e. SAN, NAS)
• Database knowledge (i.e. MS SQL, My SQL).
• Verbal and written communication skills required. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively interact with diverse personalities.
• Strong time management skills; Ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and in team settings.Salary is depending on experience.
Startingdate: ASAP
Apartment in central Stockholm included.
