There is any forum to discuss about visual effects in films and commercials?
I mean, not about tracking marks and expressions (I know this is very usefull), just talk about effects in recent release films, cool comercials, music videos. Maybe we can share our opinions about an especific effects in a movie and receive a feedback from people who work in that project. That would be nice!!

Wouldn’t be easier to just create specific thread in this forum?

that’s a good call…I’ll start a forum area about the art. we’ll see what kind of response. If its good, we’ll leave it. If not, I’ll shuffle the messages around to an appropriate forum.

I’d love to get that kind of discussion started.

A really good idea. Start that forum right away.

I totally agree. One of the cool things about going to NAB and IBC is watching the effects showreels and thinking (in a vague kind of way), I wonder how they did that ? It also inspires vfx artists to raise their game trying to reproduce a “kick-ass” effect. Highlighting that kind of work can only help. Maybe even lead to an fxguide award for the favourite vfx 😉

    cheers

Should we order the topics with the name of the movie?
Are we going to use this forum or start a new one?
I’m going to post a couple of new topics to see what happens
