I’m doing some rotoscoping with the combustion and everytime I close the workspace and reopen it, the animation I did with bezier mask tool has changed. I had a buddy at Digital Alchemy tell me that Combustion did this but I didnt beleive him, until now. Do I have to switch to after effects to to my rotoscoping, because I love everything else about combustion. Hopefully I’m just doing something wrong and I can keep using the ‘bustion

    Thanks in advance

you do nothing wrong. I heard, that c4 on pc has the same bug as c3 on a mac. And it is a problem with masks in general. I also heard that discreet knows about the problem. I did some animation with c4 and the new b-spline tool. i saved it und wanted to reopen it: workspace corrupted! I had to build the hole thing new!

Thanks alot, I just needed my suspisions confirmed, that tears it, I’m switching to aftereffects. Until discreet gets this problem solved I won’t be using there product. Thanks a lot for your post. I got a similar answer from CG talk.I really hope they get this fixed because I am quite fond of combustion.

I am on the beta team for combustion.
I do not work for autodesk.
But i know your problem and it will be fixed in version 4.01.
If say you have circle and you save and when you open you get a fugure eight type thing than this is the problem im talking about.
I had this problem very often and caused a lot of problems.
I have to say though after i talked with eric the combustion dev manager and one of is coders they found the problem right away after i sent them an bad cws file.
I know this doesnt help you now but very soon you will get the fix.
