Hi, I would like to know if there are any way to make an infinite repetition/tiling of a given video/graphic. I’ve found the Motif node but it repeats things symmetrical, not simply repeating them infinitely. Someting like “motion tile” from AE.
Thanks.April 15, 2009 at 7:54 am #217798sarwanov XamginParticipant

Add a dummy layer and add the layer you want to repeat to this layer as a texture. Set the texture parameters to “repeat” and scale down the axis above the texture.
I always rasterize vectorized images in PS first, create an alpha and save as 32 bit tga. Maybe the others can give you a better workflow.
Gmaks can be created in some roto softwares, like Silhouette from sfx or some tool from imagineer.
Hope this helps.

i’ve just made a film strip using this technique with the dummy layer as a bicubic which I cropped so you only get one row. the movie footage (as the texture) can be repeated as many times as you like without losing any quality when you go full frame.April 24, 2009 at 5:47 pm #217796AnonymousInactiveAlso do not omit the Roll menu in Paint (for painting out these pesky seams)
