    I have a basic color correct question…

If you have a shot(lets say HD) that when lit, had way too much info(lighting) pushing towards the red. Infact most of the info. is in the red channel and very little is in the green and blue.

What is the best way to normalize this in Fusion; a way to start introducing more flesh tones and more info. into the other channels?

    Thank you!

    Use The Color Corrector.
There are several approaches to this, Gamma/gain down the red channel.

Using Levels you can see the spread of each color. Adjust the controls for blue and green so the spread will be similar to the red channel

Could also try the Suppresion of red in The Color correction tool.

Another approach would be to use the Color Curves tool set to YUV and adjust the U and V chroma curves to reduce red chroma and increase the Blue chroma. Set a center point at (.5,.5) and “S” bend the curves around this point.
