I have this curiosity because that it is said in Toxik if it always recommends to Intel processors

September 10, 2005 at 11:48 am #210649AnonymousInactiveToday exists processors AMD with all extensions presents in intel processors as SSE2/3, MMX and others.
September 12, 2005 at 9:30 am #210646AnonymousGuestI think that it should run without problems, since it runs on Windows, the only thing that you are going to need is a Nvidia Video Card, it’s the same thing for Lustre, you can run it on AMD, but not without a Nvidia Video Card, Autodesk optimizes it’s software for Nvidia OpenGL.
On the other hand, Flint for linux run only on the hardware thats specified, that means the IBM Intellistation that comes with it…

September 12, 2005 at 6:33 pm #210647AnonymousGuestToxik doesn’t run on AMD processors and it requires a powerfull graphic chipset. I wouldn’t try to run it in anything below a Quadro model.
I had the chance to test it and I have to say that it’s far from being a complete tool for compositing. It still misses a lot of tools that are essential for most compositing works. Till version 1.0 I don’t think it’s price and conditions to buy it justify the buy in anyway, even in integration matters.
