Hi , i’m new Nuke user. I migrated from Shake. I tested couple of feature like tracker. I found it’s more complex that it should. Here’s a problem i got.
1. Tracker
Link to the script file (test.nk.zip):
http://transfer.metamorfo.net/test.nk.zip.. pls check it. I created 2 tracker node, named : follow1 and follow2. Tried to switch the value on ‘switch node’ from 0-1, see the result. the follow1 node is working properly while the follow2 is not. Check that the track-2 of both follow1 and follow2 are exactly the same position at any frame (they overlap along the duration). the only different is the in-between of follow1 has keyframes , while the follow2 doesn’t (keyframe only at frame 1 and frame 20).
Using follow2 , you can see the result for example at frame 10, it’s OUT OF TRACK than it should.i believe they do the internal calculation differently between these 2 nodes, but can i consider it as a BUG?? any one can explain this? I tested using shake and no problem at all.
2. Flipbook
In shake i can do this but in Nuke why can’t i just cancel the flipbook process at any frame and still can preview the result (i should be able to view the frames has been rendered so far). so i don’t have to wait till the flipbook is finished.3. Flipbook again.
Also when doing flipbook or rendering , it would be nice if there’s an option to view the frame being rendered on the fly. it might slow the system but it won’t hurt if i have that as an option. So i can see every single frame being processed, in this case i can see if there’s any problem with my compositing again without have to wait until the whole selected frame is finished.4. Simple thing i couldn’t find.
Using the framerange node or retime node… It would be very very handy if there’s a ‘use current frame’ button – so i don’t have to type the frame number. Just click the button and it will use any current frame as the value. It saves time.5. i couldn’t find this…. Does nuke have multilayer merge? so i don’t have to use multiple ‘merge’ nodes for multiple layer.
Thanx
