Tracking markers

Whats a really good way to remove tracking markers without going through the trouble of painting them out.

Give that a try:
Use a rotoshape and mask a small area next to the marker, track that mask to that marker, and then offsetting a little bit of the plate and putting it back over it. works fine, but sometimes needs tweeking with a bit of painting.
