Go to File > Preferences > Frame Format and select HDTV 1080p or i if its interlaced. But be sure to go in preferences to your Flow Frame Format and not general, unless you want fusion to in HD by default on every project you make.
Create one Black Background node and merge your final image over it and you’ll get end result that is good or needs to be altered to be in HD specs.
Hope it helps.

So, you make new flow and click on little icon BG and right from it is Mrg icon click on it ass well. Then drag and drop your footage on the flow window and connect it to green triangle of Merge node AND then click on the merge node and press 1.
