    Hey everyone,

Could anyone please copypaste me a valid edl that was made in Avid of RED files? WiretapCentral can’t work with the edl below for some reason and I have to retype it manually. Unfortunately I couldn’t find any sample on the web.

    Cheers

Thad EDL is not accurate and it has nothing to do with the EDL coming from Avid.
It seems the editor imported the files without any metadata since the EDL lacks both Tape/Reel and a proper timecode.

I’m afraid you will have to import the entire files in Flame and eye-match to the offline edit.

Thanks man. It turned out that the workflow was completely broken from the beginning and every clip started from 01:00:00:00 in Avid. Anyway, I’ve learnt a lot from this lesson.:) And I was dreaming about xml workflow recently…

I only would like to see a proper cmx 3600 edl containing RED shots. This would help me a lot in the future. Could you copypaste one for me please?

I have a qucik way around all if it if you get your offline files into the avid correctly
    1. Have avid export its version of xml AAF.
    2. import aaf into flame
    3. take aaf and export edls for each layer.
    4. use these new edls to import red footage with wiretap centeral

Seems to work everytime unlike red16 edls.

Anyway i hope ita mute point after i get my 2011 installed!
