We have a project due for a very big, very important client. They are doing a presentation in which a round theater is surrounded by HD projections. There are 20 screens.
The goal is to make the viewers feel as if they are looking out into an environment as if the screens were windows.
The problem. We rendered out frames out of MAX that are roughly 20,115×1080. We then pre-comped those into several smaller 1920×1080 individual screens.
These comps take about 8 hours to render and we did the math. With the computers we have now this will not make deadline.
If anyone can think of ways to optimize our renders to get faster render times that would be great. We are using CS3 and have the multiple processor options turned on.
Thanks in advance.
