    Hi guys,

I am a video editor, graduated in an Animation Art program, recently I want to switch my career and try to become a compositor.

My friend told me to first apply for Roto/Paint artist then work my way up to become a compositor, however, I am struggling with building my demo reel, coz I don’t have much oiriginal green screen footage, or footage for wire removal and stuff.

May I have some advice on how to start?

    Thank you

Either sign up to something like fxphd.com, where you can get footage that you can use, or get hold of a camera and shoot something yourself. There are so many good cameras around these days you can shoot something decent.
