My question is like the topic…what is a good simple renderfarm setup?
I was thinking about geting like 2 or 3 computers for a little home renderfarm.
What is a good one that doesnt cost too much?
Is RAM and CPU the most important?(Storage is important ofc.) Or is GPU important too?
The programs I’m using is Maya, Nuke, After Effects and Premiere Pro atm.Best regards!

-2-3 render node computers, small with say 8 GB RAM, and at least 4 cores, would be nice to have video on MBO (dont waste money on GPU for now)
-some gigabite switch
-small NAS or file server so everyone can connect
-cables 🙂
-render management software like backburner or deadline or royal render…
-patience and knowledge to make it all workCook until well done 🙂

Okey, thank you so much for your answer 🙂
Just start small and then upgrade the nodes with time ^^
Should I go for Intel or AMD? I was thinking Intel just for the Hyperthreading. AMD doesn’t have anything like that right? -
