Hi

Everytime i open Combustion 4 and try to load a workspace or import some footage i have to wait 6 to 10 minutes ( !!!! ) until the browser windows appears !!! -The same when i try to save a workspace
I´m working on a Pentium 4 3.0 Ghz with 1gb RAM ( Windows XP SP2 )

Any help would be very appreciated

Do you maybe have some really enourmous file or image sequence around? The browser generates thumbnails and for some files (think 400Mb TIFFs) this can take a Long Time.

You can disable the fancy browser in the Preferences and just use the standard Open and Save dialog boxes which should be faster…

I changed to the standard browser and now it´s ok
Any idea why can´t i use the combustion browser?

When this happened to me I think it was because of thumbnail generation. I had big big stills and AVIs with weird codecs in the folder it was trying to display, so it took ages to pop up trying to crunch though them.

Try to clear your browser cache, this might help you out.
