I’m really stonished to see how Flame has only one undo in so many modules.
Modules like Sparks, desktop Paint, Keyer, Tracker, etc, they all have only one undo level, also in Batch. How is this possible?
I can’t believe the Flame team cant add such a basic feature shown in every piece of software nowadays. Does have anyone an explanation for this? Maybe a technical issue from legacy products? Thanks.

I never make more than one mistake so I never was aware of that ; )I think is due to the patched dinosaur nature of Flame. All the old nodes have one undo level. When the multiple level undo was introduced in Flame, around version 5 or 6 it was just on new or revamped nodes (modular key, color warper, batch, etc). For example the Gmask node in Batch is substantially different that the gmask inside the Keyer. That is because the Keyer node has been exactly the same for the last seven years including the one level undo.

You realize, that the flame is build and run in way, that you dont need hundred undo steps back. If you will work properly in time you realize , truly it is not necesary have manny undo steps. Besides, from version 2007 is applied in to the clips history option. And that give you 100 % freedom. So relax ;). bye peter.

But I would say it’s suites the RGB only nature of Flame though 😉

Oh but there will be hundreds of more bugs, their systems will never talk properly and whats the story with wiretap central/RED/OPENexr work flow when every other system does it with out a problem.
Pop will eat itself here.

It’s great for client sessions involving small color tweaks, “here’s the gamma at .9, here’s the gamma at .8” sort of stuff. Clicking back and forth. If there were more than one undo there’d have to be a redo button and when I was trying to get the damn color right at 4am i’d lose track of how many times I’d hit each one and there’d be chaos. CHAOS!
Seriously though, while it would be nice to get multiple undo’s across the board, I don’t feel like I’m missing it that much, but everyone’s experience is different. I’m sure there are tons of guys who would be upset if there were multiple undo’s in certain modules.
