RT @johnmontfx: Sales promotions. $10K flint to flame crossgrade. Flame software for $99K (about $75K off). Not sure offer is worldwide.

Unrelated to that email, I was also offered the $10K upgrade price on the flint which I own and I’m definitely doing it. The features they’ve added in the 2011 flame release makes it very worthwhile imho.
Not so sure on the flint R.I.P. thing…I certainly have no confirmation on that

My guess is that on the long run they will keep Inferno and “Fire” (Smoke) as their higher end systems running on Linux, Flame and Smoke on Mac as high end system with more popular prices and Flare as a assist software running in both operational systems.

April 14, 2010 at 2:48 pm #218940filipParticipantIs the 15k price for Flare confirmed?
April 14, 2010 at 4:35 pm #218941Martin FurnessParticipantNew Flame system will run you about 170-180
A new Flare system on a laptop with steroids will run you about 22+
Recently purchased both!
