my write node is refusing to write, i am new in nuke:

here is the error message detail:
    Traceback (most recent call last):
    File “”, line 1, in
    File “C:/Program Files/Nuke6.0v2/pluginsnukescriptsrenderpanel.py”, line 31, in render_panel
    nuke.executeMultiple(_list, frame_ranges )
RuntimeError: Write1 cannot be executed for multiple frames.

can anyone help me on this?

I vaguely remember this but can’t quite remember what it was, the padding in the filename rings a bell though so try that. Make sure you have the correct annotation in the padding in the file name for rendering sequences, Eg use. sequencename.%04d.exr. For an exr sequence with a padding of 4. It’s a pain but you have to type as above, vary as required, there is a description in the manual for the write node.

Check your file name, you probably have your padding set in the wrong way or not set at all.

    Use something like:
    filename.%04d.ext
