I have read the article here on fxGuide on the XStoner software and it sounds like it would be a great addition to our post facility. However, I wanted to see if anyone out there had any real-world experience in using the software. Thanks in advance for your replies.

Too late reply, I just discovered this forum;
I know that lot of facilities are using this solution now (Technicolor, MTV, Ecalir, Shooter & transfer, BBC, ABC, …). I Know the guys who created the product, because they’re based in Paris; I seems to be a very good solution.
More info on http://www.xstoner.com, I think they propose also an eval demo.
Hope this helps.
Samy.

Thanks for the reply. The facility I am working for has not yet needed to puchase a solution like XStoner, they just wanted me to research it and bring back the replies (I found this out after I posted this message.) But, I really do appreciate your recommendation and if we do get to the point where we need a solution such as XStoner, I will forward along your reply. Thanks again and have a great day.

Great for work working Discreet media not only in to other systems like Avid (like we do here at Lightmill) but also to get client previews up on to the web via ftp or email.
And most important of all, it can be done in the background.
Definitely worth a look. -
