    long story short…

    UGHHH. this is a task and a half…

    but you use the luma as bot screens for HL, and Mults for the blacks over your color choice graphics.

    THEN you apply color gains to the screens and the mults for Hlite and Shadow corrections.

    AND if you dont want to ROTO… you do not want to do this for a living.

    apple doesnt freely release ANYTHING unless you of course are good friends with the developers. Then and only then u might get a slight breeze of info.

    i happen to be in a cross breeze, and i still know not much.

    supposedely alpha starts right around now, but i cant confirm that.

    what it is,

    real time desktop visual FX app competitor to flame. With 3d subsystem, INCLUDING 3d particles. Not going to be released for a long while.

    4×800 is much faster the 2x1gig on irix.

    essentially the 4 x 800 is real math on sgi’s

    Fusion can create amazing fire particles.

    we have a system that was created like 3 years ago or about then that works great with flocking and everything.

    We show you how to build it on the learning particles 1 dvd.

    cmivfx.com has a kit of fusion basics, keying and particles. its the smallest kit there.. and has the fire particle item you need on it.

    no bro… your normals pass goes into the deep pixel shaders.

    lighting is super easy. 🙂

    im going to do a whole lesson plan on the channel booleans. expect a video for it in 4 weeks.

    there are lots of powerful things in that node and the combination of that node.

    (especially in keying situations)

    Im designing the GUI for Jashaka 3 player which is using the Core Image / video stuff via open source alternatives.

    That stuff IS cool… but motion and the way it animates is NOT great for detailed animation. so im not so sure the marriage of “perfection” VS “Design” is going to work with motion as the framework.

    I have used motion, AND even done some training for it… but it lacks something…

    (But then again, its probably the shake node tree thats lacking.. so lol… we shall wait and see)
