Tanvir RajParticipant
The Vector Motion Blur tool will work on Floating point vectors. If the loader image is integer you might get the vector format values truncated or the wrong scale.
If the image is EXR then the Vectors can be directly loaded into the Fusion deep pixel vectors.
If the vector image is separate, then make sure the loader is in float. A Boolean tool can be used to copy these to the correct Vector channels. The Vector Motion blur tool expects a different scale of values, if they are in R,G or B than proper vector channels.
Tanvir RajParticipantNo script is needed.
export the scene from max in FBX or 3ds format and Fusion will import that directly.
Tanvir RajParticipantFusion will only work on ATI and Nvidia based graphics cards.
Why?
Both Nvidia and ATI have full spec drivers for Open GL plus extended features for shaders, Intel does not.Tanvir RajParticipanthttp://www.vfxpedia.com/index.php?title=Eyeon:Manual/Tool_Reference/Tracker/Tracker
The Tracker tool is capable of performing a wide variety of functions, from match moving an object into a moving scene, smoothing out in a shaky camera movement, or replacing the content of a sign.
Use the options and buttons in the Operation tab to select the function performed by the Tracker tool.
Tanvir RajParticipanthere is a how to on VFXpedia about fading particle off

Tanvir RajParticipantwhat grahics card do you have in those machines? Nvidia, ATI or other. which drivers?
howmuch ram?It should and does work at many studios, so there is not alot to go on for debuging this without more info.
If you wait a week you should be able to download F5.2 LE
Tanvir RajParticipantThe Fusion LE versions will save comps and will render to any image size and depth.
Which version are you using, look under Help-> about.
It could be and install problem or permissions issue. There will be a Fusion 5.2 LE version released soon.
Tanvir RajParticipantFusion 3D space is similar to Maya, which is 1,1,1 unit cube. All 3D apps have different ideas on their 3D world, Max derives its space via AutoCAD, where Y is in and out of the screen, rather than Z for example. The scale of these world volume differ from app to app.
To import data from Boujou, export all data to Maya .ma format, then import it into Fusion.
Tanvir RajParticipantGrain
Grain is no linear, which means that there will be different amounts of grain in the dark areas, and different in the mid tones, and different in the highlights. A grain pattern on mid grey only shows you a select band of grain. You do not want to Just comp this grain on to the image. The amount of grain varies per channel like blue is normally the most grainy of the channels.Look at the grain tool RMB the tool header -> Settings ->Load, choose Lin_5279. have a look at the spread curves, these show that the darks have little grain midtones the most and highlights dropping to none.
I would suggest creating a grey BG and put this grain tool on it and tweak the parameters to match the live action. Then you will have a grain tool set to use in all your comps.
Tanvir RajParticipantThe Drop down list above Custom/Temperature describes the colour space model to use. Some of these colour space models are Adobe RGB (1998), CIE RGB, NTSC (RGB) 1953 and SMTPE 240M. SMPTE 240M is the defining color space for HD video.
The custom feature allows you to select a color and covert it to another color. For example if a camera was set to Tungsten and the shot was in Daylight it would have a blue cast. So using the reference color pick something that is suppose to be grey (blue grey) and that would map to grey.
This correction would apply to the whole image.See this movie for more info on color correction etc.
http://www.eyeonline.com/Web/EyeonWeb/marketing/21reasons/21reasons_6.aspxLuts, you can use luts for any type of color manipulation.
You do not need a Lut to convert it TV.Tanvir RajParticipantNo, merge 3D is part of the 3D system, which can have models and objects as well as image planes; the combing is controlled by the material properties of each object.
Tanvir RajParticipantAll the color correctors in Fusion have a predevide/post multiple option, this will clear out the white Bg.
The better way is to a Matte Tool and use the Post Multiply Image option.
This tool can be used to blur and expand or contract the alpha as well.Tanvir RajParticipantUse The Color Corrector.
There are several approaches to this, Gamma/gain down the red channel.Using Levels you can see the spread of each color. Adjust the controls for blue and green so the spread will be similar to the red channel
Could also try the Suppresion of red in The Color correction tool.
Another approach would be to use the Color Curves tool set to YUV and adjust the U and V chroma curves to reduce red chroma and increase the Blue chroma. Set a center point at (.5,.5) and “S” bend the curves around this point.
Tanvir RajParticipantThis was fixed and EXR handling was greatly improved for Fusion 5.02.
I tested asigning channels and it works here.
If you can zip up an image and a comp and send it to [email protected]
we can look at it further.Tanvir RajParticipantThe Background Foreground slider is the switch, when it is set (animated) to 0.0 then it will be background only, when its 1.0 then its foreground only.
There will be no processing of the foreground tree/flow when it is 0.0 and vise versa -
