    As someone already mentioned, Houdini behaves very well on Linux, both 32 bit and 64 bit. It’s actually preferable to use it on Linux rather than Windows.
    It is also pretty much tolerant with distros, you can use it on RedHat, SUSE, Ubuntu, whatever…

    As far as I know, Piranha from IFX does 16 bit floating point real time on Linux with a last generation nVidia card, and 2K playback with 3D LUTs.
