    I think Flame should expand more all de 3D environment. Modeling tools, textures, lights, particle system. A kind of mini Maya inside the Flame. Now autodesk owns Alias and have all the technology to develop that.
    That would make a big difference with the other compositing tools in the market.
    In the last years the 3d area has included more tools, deform, 3D camera tracking etc…But the lights ant the textures are so awful that ruin all the potential of these tools.
    You can keep adding more nodes to the batch, but that is not a substantial change. More 3D is the way to go and is the area were companies that compete with Autodesk like Apple, Adobe…have less possibilities.

    You can separate the channels and use those clips as a matte for different functions. For example to apply blur and create depth of field.
