Thanks for the reply and aditional info.
Eric
EbrunoskiParticipantAn additional note. You know when you recall a N+L set up and it gives you 50 million extra empty layers. Is there any way to get rid of them or make this not happen?
Eric
EbrunoskiParticipantPerfect. Thank you!!
EbrunoskiParticipantThank you very much for the info. I am infact, trying to create a photorealistic comp and the fire was shot over black. I’m comping the fire onto a snowy moderately-heavily moonlit nightime background. Once question though, when you say crush the range, do you mean crush the blacks (contrast) or just adjust the gain? Thanks again!
Eric
EbrunoskiParticipantNo, I’m not screwed. I usually only use openGL when my composites get very big and complex, so that I get better interaction. For the simpler stuff, I don’t use it. It just sucks, like you said, spending a lot of money on something adn then finding out it doesn’t do what you were told it would do. Anyway, on a positive note, I know a lot more about graphics cards now! 😀
EbrunoskiParticipantWell, you’ve seemed to hit the nail on the head here. Apparently I need software control of my card to adjust settings, but unfortunately software doesn’t seem to exist for this particular card.. I gues I got the wrong card. Thank you for everything, I really appreciate it.
Eric
EbrunoskiParticipantThank you again for the info! All my preference settings seem to be fine. And when I turn on openGL and then go to the about open GL menu under the combustion menu, it shows that it definitely recognizes the card. It seems that the card just may not support full anti-aliasing, which just doesn’t seem right!! Ugghhh!!!
EbrunoskiParticipantThanks for the link. I appreciate it! Your right, there is no good mac info. I read the paragraph about anti-aliasing, but I was under the impression that the 6800 ultra card did support full anti-aliasing. Hmmmm?
Anybody else have anything???????
