Scott BalkcomParticipant
actually, with a friend we were working on this project, it was a small batch, but we had like 3 action, right, at proxy from HD it was taking about 40.
we deleted 2 actions that we could replace directly with a color corrector and logic ops, and ther render full resolution only took 20 mins.sincerely what i think, is that the inferno goes through all of the stuff in the node, and analizes them even if theyรยดre doing nothing, just like maya would.
it really sucks, and then i understood why you have all of the stuff in the action separated by nodes.
anyhow.cheers!
Scott BalkcomParticipantyou could import them to combustion, and from combustion export them as gmasks… who knows
๐Scott BalkcomParticipantHey, great answer, just one question, you said there was a chance to have variated particles, like different textures, i’m doing something abit different a flower field, but i don’t know how can i have different textures…
could you get into that?,
thanks in advance ๐Scott BalkcomParticipanthey i’ve watched it over and over again since i cought it on postfolio, and its great, could you share some wisdom?? i was watching that part where u broke down the bicubics of a that fabric and is it just pure bicubics?, i was trying to apply bicubics to a geo so i could make it reflect but it is not working for me…
maybe i should creat a geo and make it reflect with only the background in one actrion, then connect that to an other action.. and use bicubics… uhm… interesting, it might work… i probably just answered myself, but if your way is better please share, i keep watching ur reel man, it’s just awesome !!Scott BalkcomParticipant@alatteri 25206 wrote:
Pay my rate, you can call me monkeyboy. Its not what other people title you, but how you see yourself.
nicely said!
Scott BalkcomParticipanti think is the same one we’ve got, i’ll check if this is right tomorrow, but 170 degrees… NOT, the contrast changes a lot, so look out…
Scott BalkcomParticipanti heard one once where they were talking to the client and they say something like (the post guys) we should do those effects in 3D… and the client says: “we have so much money, we can even do it 4D”
Scott BalkcomParticipantThanks Mathieu, i just read it.
Scott BalkcomParticipantyah, i mean i asked about an older version because i found a very cheap flint 6.5 or close to that, and i wanted to know how close to an inferno / flame 6.5 it would have been..
thanks all u guys!..
i guess for $9000 it’s not even worth it…Scott BalkcomParticipanttante grazie!!
Scott BalkcomParticipantit would be even nicer if you could extend those bezier curves, like you’d do it in maya.
Scott BalkcomParticipantI would love a list of companies that have a flame / inferno in italy… i’d love to go work over there… ๐
PLZ! ๐
Scott BalkcomParticipantI guess… well i use inferno but basically is the same.,..
so if you are in the player click on the frame number that indicates at what frame ur at (left to the timeline) and then hit the frame that u want to go to… or let’s say u are in the desktop and you have a clip and you want to go to the frame for that clip without going into the player, just hit G for GO!, and then type the number, in both cases the numeric pad should appear somewhere on the screen, newer inferno/flames put it right where the button is, older ones like 6.5.11, put it in the right bottom corner.
CHeers bud! ๐
hope to be usefulScott BalkcomParticipantif its in the entire image, try scaling it about 1% or even taking the frame either up or down (just a few pixels)
Good LuckJanuary 27, 2009 at 10:44 am in reply to: Wich is the point with Flame? (it seems as slow as the other comp programs) #217525Scott BalkcomParticipanthey Pgill… u seem to know a lot about flame, i work on an inferno 6.5 & 2009 (im really new), but you say there is a place on it where you can MODEL 3D??? can’t seem to find it, i only can import 3d models, and light them, but actualy create a model, inside…
please help! ๐ -
