Well from my experience I have seen artist make $25.00 bucks an hour just starting off. But in general to start on you should be looking anywhere from 60-90, but that also depends on the company, their financial position and how productive you actually are and what type of an assest your are in generating revenew. The average Flame artist whom are staff usually range anywhere from 120,000-350,000. Ya thats quite a gap, but that also depends on how long you’ve been with the company, your status with the company, your skills, including client, and how productive you are, not to mention the financial status of the company, and what type of work they are producing. I know of a freelance artist whom works pretty much 5 days a week and brings in about 7,500 a week. So there are various situations that may need to be analyzed. The good staff artist I would believe make anywhere from 150,000-250,000. Hope this helps in anyway.
I as well have many. One of the worst was when I was doing the opening and closing for HBO, but in HD. I had a 70 layer composite that took several days to track and compose. The executive from HBO came in to my room acting like a true ass. He said he could run Inferno better than me. He grabbed the pen from me and sat down. LMAO. he had no clue. He was rude and nasty. The next thing I knew he was telling me to delete the setup. I was like in the twilight zone and was like WTF. He demanded me to delete the 70 layer setup. I ask why and he said “because im telling you to, I want to see you do it all over again” I tried to convience him of other ways we can go about this. Well then I just gave him major attitue and acted like a prick to him. Once I started to give him shit he said “I like you, I like your attitude. Ill never forget this job and ill never forget what hell I went through with this guy. Many more things he did, but I wont bore you with them.

Hmmm. I suck with expressions, havent really go into them. A setup to get me started would be great.

What would be even better is to be able to stop a setting being loaded when you accidently selected the wrong one.
