Martin FurnessParticipant
I dont believe its changed. When in Action, on the right hand side you should
see:K MK CC CM
G C S DivWell the MK is the Modular Keyer
Martin FurnessParticipantI’ve done it a couple of times and I believe I have used an external bicubic one time and the warper the other. Just sound out the words over and over and you will begin to develope the same pattern of speech for the movement of the dogs mouth.
Martin FurnessParticipantSounds like your using Batch? If you are using Batch, do you have to? If not you can created your 3D text in normal Action, and save it, and just load N/L back into your Action setup or even Batch at the point.
Martin FurnessParticipantDeal with it all the time. Just habbit to go back and delete the key frame.
Martin FurnessParticipantHmm. Id like to see that one. Did you import from and EDL? If so I know it will provide softedits for each edit point, but for that to be interpolated into a curve through the channel editor would be new to me.
Martin FurnessParticipantI know this issue occurs with type sometimes. What you can try to do is to use “shadow mix” on! then in Z space in position make sure it is set to 0. And to get a good matte with your 3D just replace all your layers with a white frame.
Martin FurnessParticipantYour from Brazil. I dont think it has to do with the 50 vs. 60hz power cycle? Theres got to be some weird issues with your config. It shouldnt matter I dont think whether its LCD or CRT. Is there anyway to try another monitor?
April 12, 2006 at 6:15 pm in reply to: I’ve got a pile of disks from an old Stone. What now? #212771Martin FurnessParticipantAre they the original Discreet drives? Are they stamped? We were looking for some backups just a couple of weeks ago before we got the new Linux system. If they are stamped and the orig. Discreet drives (Discreet doesnt support those drives anymore) you can prob. sell them to people with existing stones.
Martin FurnessParticipantI’ve seen our guys do it in After Effects with a plugin.
Martin FurnessParticipantYa my bad on the interlace. But ya when I first got the box, the first thing I did was create a mask to check out its interaction, and when I would move the mask it would move the fill on the fly.
Martin FurnessParticipantOk!! Forget the mask issue.LOL but I would like to know. But heres the other thing. Why when my project is setup in progressive that when I film compress a clip to take 3:2 out then I want to put 3:2 back in and film expand it, it expands in F1. LMAO.
Martin FurnessParticipantFigured it out. It was a true type font that used an outline. As I was looking at the newly loaded fonts, I noticed alot of them had outlines, and I was getting the same message, so process of elimination cured the problem.
P.S. By the way this did slow down the entering of certain modules. So be aware that 9.5.5 doesnt seem to like all true type fonts. Maybe ill search for AFM fonts, which all the other fonts seem to have that extension.
Martin FurnessParticipantHmmm. Wow very interesting Mike! Ya its weird. I take the background into Action, not batch. This background is just your ole NTSC 2d 87 frm. piece. I then apply 3D tracking and get my tracking info. I then apply another layer and attach the tracking info from the background to it. Perfect it tracks fine. But when I add the text layer and want it not to move, it moves. I understand that because the camera supplies the tracking info, everything in the shot is going to track. But if your saying there is a workaround WOW sounds awesome. Because in Batch I just use an Action node for the tracking info, and another Action node for the text layer, attach them then add an output node and now I have my tracking layer and my static text layer.
Martin FurnessParticipantMaybe im freaking out here, or just tired. LOL Ok I am using the 3D tracker to track a 2D image which is a shot of a guy in his livingroom and infront of a monitor. I then using the 3D tracker, track the shot. I then add another layer which is the layer that is going into the monitor. All is fine at this point and the image that im putting into the monitor is tracking fine. Now I want to add another layer (all layers are your standard 2d) which is a super(text). But when I do, it tracks with the whole comp. I tried to parent from the camera to the text layer, and it just dissapears? I’ve also tried to parent every other way to maybe see if it would work. The only results I get on the text is it either tracks with the whole comp, or dissapears. Thanks for your help by the way.
Martin FurnessParticipantWell im trying to see if it is possible to do this in just the Action module instead of going into Batch. I’ve tried to parent, load only N/L reverse parent. Havent found a way to do it yet.
