Smoke Advanced (Formerly Smoke 2K) about 60K$ the software.
You need to add the hdw and their subscription package.Fire does not sell anymore.
Flare (Flame without desktop, no vtr capture and no vtr archiving ) about 40K$ for the software.
You need to source your own hdw and you need to need to already be an owner of a Flame or Inferno license current on subscription. You can not buy it seperatly.Flint (should be around 85K$ to 90K$ for the software) if not a bit more.
Flame and Inferno pricing seems accurate, except that the inferno product use to sell more in Japan than in the rest of the world.
Don’t quote me on those numbers, but they should not be too far from the truth.

Sergio Villa KramskyParticipantThank you Rohit.
Definitly this makes sense.
In regards of Lustre I had heard so many different stories in regards of the product that it put us off a little bit.
I guess that the proof is in the pudding.
I’ll send an update when we will have maid up our mind on that one.
Thx for your insights.

Sergio Villa KramskyParticipantThx everyone for taking the time to express your opinions.
What I gather then is that the next question would be:
Would you buy a Flare license, knowing that there is no Sparks supporting it ?
Since, accordingly to what we have heard from the people at autodesk, Flare is aimed to enhance the workflow compatibility between flame or inferno. Having no sparks for it, does not support that statement.
Unless, you do not care if sparks are supported or not.
PS: You need to be aware that at the time I write these lines, no Sparks are sold based around Flare. I have done some research and no vendor has pricing or licensing available for it.

Sergio Villa KramskyParticipantHi Nanuk.
As kryptic clearly outlined it, there isn’t much marketing or pr being done for this product, which is never a good sign.
In its multiple declinations, Toxik has suffered too many unseccussful market launches.
But the sad part is that Toxik is finally a good product, but as far as I am concerned, it is too late to the party.
If I were you, and in order to re-ensure yourself, especially if you want to invest in this product, I would attempt to contact the Toxik product manager in Montreal, Cda.
Once you have your chat with him, you’ll be able to make up your mind.
PS: Do not try your reseller, nor a sales person, go to the source on this one.
