No, it wouldn’t run faster. If Flint hasn’t given you messages of “Increasing Library Size”, you should leave that token as it is. Increasing it actually takes memory away from the rest of the application…

Unfortunately, the CW will only output one of the mattes from selectives.

You can only use third party arrays on older versions of the software (so upgrading will be an issue).

Also, there is no problem running flame on Octane with up to 1.5 G of RAM, pending an SGI patch which will resolve the issue, and let you install the recommended RAM based on the type of work you do.

    Hi Maz,

for 2K work, memory speaking, we recommend at least 2 GB of RAM, preferably 3.

Newer versions of our applications don’t support third-party arrays.

There are no problems with the release; we’re still working on it. What we showed at NAB was a technology preview, and what was shown at Siggraph was in the Beta stage.

There are no datasheets just yet, but stay tuned to fxguide: there is already one article on what was publicly shown of 5.0, and another to come.

Feel free to ask questions about the release. I’ll be happy to give as much information as possible.

Were’s flame V8 and inferno v5 by the way.

It was showned at NAB 2002, Announced/Released at Siggraph 2002 but unfortunately until today you can’t even get the datasheet on v8/v5.

    Are there any problems??
