nanukParticipantDefazzio wrote:Thanks a bunch Nanuk! How do I go about adding it to the whole composite?
When you rightclick the composite and choose add operater, all added operater will be put ontop your composite.
nanukParticipantDo you add the Particle Operator to a Layer, or do you add over a hole composite? When you add it to a layer it will be cropped by its size. Otherwise should be no problem. Or if you add a particle operator by creating a new layer, you should look, that your output settings are the same as your composite.
Greetings Nanuk
nanukParticipantAs I said – I saw it, but it was on PC. It was quiet fast (SD) but it wasn´t a oneonone competition with an octane. They had Flame on Tezro, but it was a roadshow (PostNAB) and they did not compare the performance of the machines.
nanukParticipantTurn of “auto save”. In earlier versions cumbustion often crashed for that reason.
nanukParticipantdazman wrote:I have used Combustion for film (2K) projects with CG composites etc…. it works well. Shake of course is the most popular but a few of us use combustion as well as a lot of things work a lot better in combustion.Do you work in London? ❓
nanukParticipantGraph is RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!
nanukParticipantBut I heard, that Inferno only runs on 2 processors (Onyx 2). And that fact made my a bit angry. Is it true or is it just an “old” Onyx problem. Because I got the old hardware, but new irix and inferno. Please forgive my, if this is a stupid question, but I´m at the beginning of getting my self into the technical stuff. 🙂
nanukParticipantI´ve seen Flint and Smoke on Linux. It is very fast. Only thing is realtime playback and I/O. I´m working with Inferno (Onyx2 🙁 ) and I often wonder about the relationship between power and bucks!
But it is my favorit tool!!!
nanukParticipantSo back in the office, I was able to play around with Inferno. And I found the clou – LogisOps. When you realy want to get deep into blending modes you cannot pass LogicOps.
Greetings Nanuk
nanukParticipante.g.:
I´m in an action. I got a layer with front and I put a gmask on it. Then I go to surface and change my blending mode. With some modes it works. And the other thing is, that I can´t change the transparency in some modes. You (rayk) allready know, that I also work with Combustion. And there I have no problems. Perhaps it is an “another way of thinking” in Inferno dealing with mattes? In C it doesn´t matter if you are using a gmask or a stencil layer (I think stenzil is the same, as If you have an front and a matte in I). You have full control of your blending mode and opacity. But as I said – perhaps it is my wrong thinking.
Thanx Nanuk
nanukParticipantI think, there is no one.
For bigger systems such as Flame or Inferno You can Exchange them by using FBX.nanukParticipantC3 rasterizes the vector data anyways!
nanukParticipantHi Rayk,
I live in Cologne, but work in Düsseldorf.
Thanx for sharing your thoughts. I will look up the discreet www.Greetings Nanuk
nanukParticipantI had this problem when I became a Illustartor file from a PC, but when using Mac files – no problem.
