The magazin ‘digital production’ was wrong about the version number.
The next version that will be released from D2Software is Nuke 4.4.0. And as far as I know, it’s not been published.

I love the way XSI|softimage is handling the windows.
It can be minimized, locked(means always open), and closed.

Well after some time i got familiar with Nuke’s interface, though. 😉

At the moment, DirBlur is alive and kicking here, too.
If a reinstall isnt solving the problem, what exact version are you using?

Not beeing a big company, our reseller has guaranteed, to get out a copy of Nuke 4.4 to us at the beginning of June 05.

And some other informations come along with that:
    MEEP rumour mill MEEP
There will be a Nuke 64bit version in the future. It depends on customer request. But it shouldnt be a problem because Nuke’s original layout was for the ALPHA-CPUs, a 64-bit RISC-cpu. 😯

    Hmm nice pipeline:
dual 64bit cpu, windows64, XSI64, Nuke64,.. what else could make my day? 8)

    Hi,
your concerns arent new and we discussed it already in the nuke-newsgroup.
go visit nuke.throb.net for a closer look and be sure that you will join the newsgroup if you are interested in more.

I asked about the Furnace-plugins because of a degraining tool and the official reply i quote hereafter:

[D2 Software and The Foundry are currently testing the Furnace, Tinder and Keylight plug-ins with the latest versions of NUKE. Things are going quite well and we are hoping to have a new release of NUKE with the OFX plug-in capability released around NAB timeframe]
    Bob Kilduff
    D2 Software / Digital Domain

About the change of the keyer i don’t know either but an unofficial source was talking about an [internal keyer as good as Primatte].
Again, this is just rumortalking but i am sure that when NAB comes there will be some exciting news about nuke… hopefully.

On the issue of playback, how are you finding the recent intergration of Framecycler ?

I never used framecycler before. But I like it and reminds me of the FLIPBOOK of XSI. 😯 very comfortable and fast (2k pictures)
