shoot – i couldn’t tell all the specs on this spot right now. i just know it came from D5 and i’m trying to pull keys from footage that wasn’t shot on green or blue screen, shot on this kinda sky-blue bg that is actually supposed to be a sky – but my edges are giving me hell – especially the hair of the talent. i mean – im making it work – but was mainly wondering if there were any tricks like blurring a certain color channel or something. kinda like keying DV. but ya – everytime i try to key this stuff im getting some super ugly compression artifacts around the edges.

ha! nice. thank you. what is the difference between the two saves? and do you mean like saving the desktop, or saving your batch setup, etc.
i ended up moving the image in 1 action setup a half pixel up and to the right. also scaled it up a half percent. blurred the layer by 1 and bumped up the samples to 64. took that into a new action setup moved it the opposite direction a half pixel as well as scaled down a half percent. bumped up the samples to 64. this killed a lot of the moire. the really bad frames still needed a bit of work but this did help for about 80-90 percent.
