I appreciated the discussion as well. As I plan for the purchase of Scarlet or the DMSC camera that Red been boasting about, it was great to hear about how Red One has behaved in different productions compared to other cameras like Genesis and so on. Not only that but the discussion ‘exposed’ a lot of information about the workflow of Red One that I’ve never heard in such detail before.

I really appreciated all who participated in it.

By the way, I never read the article and don’t even know where it’s located. Can you send me a PM with the link. After hearing the discussion, I just want to peruse it.

I look forward to upgrading to Combustion 2008 and continue to look into this. I’m hoping I can find some uses for it within my workflow of Final Cut Studio and Cinema 4D.

This is true. Combustion is not dead. Just overdue. We’re hoping it eventually gets on a regular development schedule that allows for it to be in the chase with the other desktop solutions. I really would like to most of time in one compositor where possible.

I love BG. Are you serious? That’s all they use? I thought for sure they would probably have Flame or something along those lines with Combustion.
