In the podcast, Mike, stated that the old Captain America/Steve Rogers in this film was digital – but it looks like he was misinformed, based on a pic actor Chris Evens posted on social media ! (Darn, Hydra – well played!). Or was he ! It is possible the image from Chris Evans is not actually the final truth…
Was Steve aged digitally or makeup?
Actually it was mainly digital. Endgame co-director Joe Russo has commented that “As for Captain America’s transformation into an old man it is 95% CG, 5% make-up. But the voice was 100% Evans, no modification for that.”‘ There was makeup on set, but the end the movie audience see primarily digital Steve, not makeup.
