11:33am – timelines in multiple different resolutions, different … auto rescales and plays back in real time
120Megabytes per sec.. drops in trims the edit and plays in real time – uncompessed 10 bit – now adds – dvNTSC… interlaced stock footage… now playing back in real time

11:35am – Motion templates right in FCP – superimposed in real time – text edited right in FCP – … types in the text – plays back without render

11:37am – back to Rob “and we’re just getting started”… now moving to Motion and motion with 3D !

11:40am – extending motion to 3D… cameras, motion, lighting – in motion – adding paint – vector based paint- pressure and speed sensitive – paint in 3D – with behaviours – match moving added – super easy to do tracking…”incredibly simple” – Retiming Behaviours without keyframes – slip and slide retiming – that can then reapplied to other clips – audio behaviours

11:42am – Dion Scoppettuolo doing motion demo – Motion demo shows new examples and new libraries to make life simple and easy to get started.. so using a default – the lighting bolts from the graphic can move by the audio of the clip – crowd likes it … no keyframing – done – now tracking demo – new category called motion tracking – the new technology hold down option key and it recommends what to track off… it works out best settings to work. but not only 2d track.. text can track off say a bike – and then the track will follow in 3 space so in front and behind the bike – with parallax shift

11:47am – 3D camera views – with not jumping between views, flies around to the different angles.. so in perspective – a small window appears in the lower right and this is the ‘output’ – so you can work with any camera -but see the output that you will get – Now UI camera tool demo

11:50am – now showing paint in motion – painting with specialist cool brushes – or lighting effects so think AE lightbeams – or paint in a flock of birds – or a graphical light trail – paint can sit in 3D – so that stroke moves from back to front around video

11:55am – now adding 3D particles – dots become balls- particle live as full 3D particles – motion demo ends

11:56am – now audio demo – 3 up video HUD for placing clips – dialogue replacement much easier – quickly mix multiple audio tracks to one with SURROUND mixing in a single project.. normal and surround mix in one project…

12:17pm – you can create sets of compressor presets and just drag them on a clip – and build a batch list – able to add motion “watermarks” in compressor just for that output – compressor adding enhanced podcast info to clip

12:20pm – in system menu – you can make it have say 8 instances of it self – so 8 cores compress the clip CPUs running at 90 % all 8 procs
