This unique experience at SIGGRAPH 2017 is a collaboration with many of the companies that won last year's SIGGRAPH REAL TIME LIVE, but this year you can be a part of the experience.

We are proud to be able to help bring this mix of Virtual Production, Digital Humans and Virtual Reality to SIGGRAPH as part of an amazing global research effort.

"In VR Village's three year history, we have never had a real-time, interactive demonstration like Meet Mike in VR. It is bringing complexity from last years' award winning Real-Time Live demo "From Previs to Final in Five minutes: A Breakthrough in Live Performance Capture", and blending it with an innovative interview format, all in VR. I am very excited to see it in action." Denise Quesnel, SIGGRAPH 2017 VR Village Chair.

This event is something to be experienced first hand, and in person. The VR experience will run using the Unreal Engine in concert with HTC VIVE and special new custom hardware.

The special event is a collaboration of teams from around the world, in 4 continents, three universities and six companies along with the Wikihuman global research project.

Amazing looking avatar there, Mike. Tremendous detail. The movement gave away the fact that it wasn’t really you.

  • Ah, I think I misunderstood what this was. I thought it meant we could watch the interviews live, remotely through Unreal and a Vive. It seems this is only set up for people physically at Siggraph, but they are letting people without passes in, especially for it.
