As expected at Siggraph Apple announced Shake will be availabile in August for OSX.
Interesting pricing was also announced where the OSX version is cheaper than the IRIX, Linux and Windows versions.
Here is the breakdown – Shake 2.5 for:
Macintosh OSX – $4,950 with annual maintenance at $1,199
Linux, IRIX and Windows* – $9,990 with maintenance of $1,485
*Shake 2.5 for Windows is only available to exisiting 2.46 Windows users
Also Apple is offering existing Shake customers the option to double the number of their existing licences if they switch to Mac OSX.
On the Mac side Shake 2.5 requires OS X version 10.2 (Jaguar) which is scheduled to be released August 24th.
