In our new 2020 series in the lead up to the Oscars, we speak to the visual effects supervisors behind the films in contention this year. This show we speak to Rob Legato VFX supervisor on The Lion King.

The Lion King is the Disney computer-animated musical film directed and produced by Jon Favreau, and written by Jeff Nathanson. The film is a photorealistic computer animated remake of Disney’s traditionally animated 1994 film of the same name. The film visual effects and animation was lead by Multiple Oscar winner Rob Legato, and animation by MPC.
