Ok we would not normally post about a free ap in the itunes Ap store, but this one is just so much fun and indicative of how in the last few years we have moved from multi-million dollar grading suites to free iphone aps.
Our friends at Pixel Farm have posted Airgrade. Now unlike most iphone aps – this runs TOGETHER on the iphone and your mac. You load some images on your mac and then you open the ap on your iphone. The iphone then interactively grades the image on your mac, wirelessly. To be clear – this is not a serious tool, for a start it ends up with a graded image from you mac being saved on your iphone. BUT it is shown here interactively grading a 4K Tiff on a laptop- and it’s free. Plus it can generate an actual ASC CDL grade. We offer this as a bit of fun – but also a sign post of how rapidly the grading market is changing.
The software is free but you need to run two aps one on your iphone and one on your mac.
