VFXShow 242: Toy Story 4

Woody, Buzz Lightyear and the rest of the gang embark on a road trip with Bonnie and a new toy named Forky. The journey takes an unexpected turn with Woody reunited with his long-lost friend Bo Peep. The film is the fourth in the series, but the first to use the RIS RenderMan technology. The team discusses the film and its stunning visuals in this episode of the vfxshow.

The film is naturally by Pixar. The film was directed by Josh Cooley (in his feature directorial debut) from a screenplay by Andrew Stanton (who had co-written the first three films) and Stephany Folsom.  The three conceived the story alongside John Lasseter (who directed the first two film in the franchise), Rashida Jones, Will McCormack, Valerie LaPointe, and Martin Hynes.
