The Grey Man is a vast and extensive action spy film. Ryan Gosling leads the cast with Chris Evans as his psychopathic adversary. The film was director by Joe and Anthony Russo. Netflix reported the film was streamed for a total of 88.55 million hours over its first three days, which would equal around 43.5 million viewers. It was the most-watched film in 84 countries.
The film has been a huge success for Netflix but the VFX show panel this week find a lot to not like in this film.
Netflix has extensive plans to turn “The Gray Man” into a new spy franchise. The success of the $200 million action thriller has led to Netflix announcing plans to expand the series with a sequel and a spinoff, both of which are currently in development.
“The audience reaction to ‘The Gray Man’ has been nothing short of phenomenal. We are so appreciative of the enthusiasm that fans across the world have had for this film,” Joe and Anthony Russo said in a statement. “With so many amazing characters in the movie, we had always intended for ‘The Gray Man’ to be part of an expanded universe, and we are thrilled that Netflix is announcing a sequel with Ryan, as well as a second script that we’re excited to talk about soon.”
