Why discreet would buy 5D only for the sparks????
My name is Gabo Kerlegand, I’m a FFI & cyborg artist,
and my ask is why only for the sparks, I think the
real thing is if Discreet buys 5D, is for the Cyborg
not for the sparks, I have been using Discreet for 9
years and now I am using Cyborg, I think that cyborg
is a very good Hight End compositing tool for
professional working, is very fast and esay to use, so
I think, why not discreet buys the cyborg?, if they do
that, they win, becouse the dont need to develop a new
code for their almost obsolete code, they are adding
more and more new features and their code soon will be
obsolete, so Discreet need to do something about this,
they need to take this opportunity, It is they only
way that discreet can survive, they don’t will have
any competition on the market for their level…

What do you think about the option that Quantel gets into Cyborg ??? It seems they really need a good compositing tool, and about 2 years ago, there was even a press announcement declaring plans that Cyborg should be ported to run on the iQ.

I for myself would like it most if they somehow get their stuff together and keep it an independent system. It’s really high end, really fast. I’ll keep my fingers crossed.
