thinking of buying a final cut studio, what video i/o cards and graphics display cards does color support ?
Supports pretty much what ever you have (with Quartz Extreme) but its “recommended” to have a x1900xt 512mb. Aja and Decklink, new and old should work. Again its “recommended” to have one of the newer ones.
Only downside with color is the fact that you have to shutdown the videodesktop feature on your capturecard.
is there any workaround for this disabling desktop shite ?
Not sure about that. Its not as bad as it sounds. I used to have the video desktop feature on all the time but when color said i had to disable it, i did. Haven’t really missed it that much. Thought i would.
I have a dual 23″ cinemadisplay setup and a 19″ broadcast monitor. One screen for the app itself, the second for the scopes and the broadcast monitor for the output.
