What do people generally think of the Furnace Sparks?
Has anyone tried the Tinder package or the Keylight one???
I would like to see some feed back on the packages as I am considering a purchase…
March 23, 2005 at 2:09 pm #209630IggsParticipantWe bought Shake 3.5 for OSX just so we can use Furnace2 … for us, it’s not something we use every day but when we do need it … boy are we happy to have it.
Keylight2 is a great keyer … I use Avid|DS and it perfectly compliments DS’s native keyer, works great on hair, smoke and fine detail.
Tinder plug-ins are great … some stuff is the same as you would find in other plug-in packages like SpeedSix and Sapphire but a lot of them are very unique, they look and work great … definitelly worth the money.

Wire removal is excellent in most cases. It tends to have trouble when the wire is moving and creating some motion blur. The grain tools are also very effective. I would highly recommend the package.

Someone told me Kronos was used in the Matrix?
is there any better re-timers than this one?

Steadiness is greatness for the lazy compositor who just can’t be bothered with tracking that shot. Align has saved my rear numerous time when Gate weave has reared its ugly head. The texutures are great (if a little buggy at times). Made a field of snow in HD out of a texture about 150×150. Haven’t gotten to the removal ones yet, but soon. In short, totally worth it. Kelight can’t hold a candle to the master keyer.
