Nuke 4.8v1 Released

Nuke 4.8v1 is now available to download from The Foundry web site. Nuke 4.8v1 includes several feature enhancements, increased stability, and numerous bug fixes. With Nuke 5.0 on the horizon, The Foundry is releasing Nuke 4.8v1 for customers with projects in progress who choose not to upgrade to Nuke 5.0 until their projects have completed. The features and fixes in Nuke 4.8v1 will also be included in Nuke 5.0, when released.

Some key features in 4.8v1 include:

* Extended multi-channel support to 1023 channels
* More flexible LUTs — add any number of user-defined LUTs to the built-in set
* 3D system now offers Light and Material nodes
* Access to arbitrary image locations in Color/Math Expression nodes
* Improved accuracy in SplineWarp rendering and control over interactive display
* Improved Tracker accuracy
* Rendering speed improvements

We’ve also squashed over 100 bugs!

Nuke 4.8v1 is available to all customers with current support contracts and anyone with a valid evaluation license. For a full list of features and fixed bugs in this version please download the Nuke 4.8v1 Release Notes.

You will not need a new license key to run Nuke 4.8v1. If your support contract has run out and you would like to renew to take advantage of this upgrade, as well as the upcoming Nuke 5.0 release, please contact our sales team at [email protected].

Nuke users of Furnace, Tinder, or Keylight plug-ins will also need to upgrade their plug-ins to be compatible with Nuke 4.8v1. Furnace, Tinder, or Keylight are currently in beta and can be found at:
