On the show this week, we talk about two big-budget major TV series: Netflix’s 3 Body Problem and FX’s Shogun.
3 Body Problem was created by David Benioff, D. B. Weiss and Alexander Woo, based on the Hugo Award–winning Chinese novel The Three-Body Problem by Liu Cixin. Shōgun is a historical drama television miniseries created by Rachel Kondo and Justin Marks. It is based on the 1975 novel by James Clavell, which was previously adapted into a 1980 miniseries.
In this episode the guys compare and contrast these the two major mini-series, both with major budgets and vast amounts of visual effects.
